About Me

My photo
Rowena
I am a bibliomaniac.I lived with two Scottish Deerhounds and an old cat. In December Oona died and I (and Taz) still miss her very much. Her ashes are buried under the mountain ash with the other deerhounds-my pack. Now, Taz and I are much happier to have Fingal in our pack. I read a lot, write a lot-working away on about the 20th rewrite of two novels about the Battle of Culloden. I like cooking, walking, movies, writing of course, being with my friends. I live on Whidbey Island, surounded by sea and mountains, so much as I love to travel, I love coming home. Oh, yes, and I travel when I can. I've been to Scotland and Belize 5 times, to Morocco, Turkey, Spain, Portugal, France, Germany, Austria, and best of all (except Scotland) Italy. I'm always looking for my next destination- and the next book to read.
